Junior Registration 2017

Welcome to the 2017 season.  Whether you're playing for the first time or you're a seasoned veteran everybody needs to register for the season.

Registrations will remain open until the 30th of April 2017 - please complete the online form and we will be in touch with your team details.

What do I need to do?

Returning Players

Every player from the 2016 season will have already received a personalised registration link.  If you haven't received an email check your junk mail folder first, and then email rugby.kjrc@gmail.com to let us know.

All players will need to visit the club on one of the Registration days to be weighed.

New Players

If you are new to rugby, or new to Kumeu Rugby, then you will need to complete a registration form.  There are two easy options:

  1. Complete the online form here, and then pop in on one of the registration days to weigh in and collect your gear.

  2. Come into the club on one of the four Registration days (see below) - you will still need to fill in the same online registration at the clubrooms, so save yourself time and effort and do it at home!

How much will it cost?

At Kumeu Rugby Club we believe that our fees offer exceptional value for money.  Included in your fees are:
  1. A $25 per player levy to the North Harbour Rugby Union

  2. Club shorts, socks and a mouthguard - no need to buy extra kit on top of you registration fees!

  3. New Registrants get a Club Gear Bag (a limited number of new bags are available for a small fee for existing members)

  4. Access to club facilities, including the bar

  5. A team photo (previously an additional $18)

  6. A contribution towards club fundraising to keep equipment and gear updated.

For the 2017 season fees are $140 per player.

Payment can be made online when registering, or a the club on registration days by EFTPOS or Cash.

What do I need to bring to Registration Day?

  1. The player - we need to weigh them to grade them appropriately.

  2. If they are new to the club you will need to provide proof of age (Birth Certificate or Passport) - again so we can grade them appropriately.

  3. Payment - if you haven't already paid online you can bring cash or pay by EFTPOS at the club.

When and Where will Registration Days be held?

JuniorRegistration days are now complete. If you've missed out you can still register online and pop down to the muster nights 6pm on the 22nd and 29th of March to weigh in and get allocated to a team.

What Next?

Team Allocations

Grading will be conducted as per the 2017 North Harbour Junior Weight and Age Chart.

Teams will be formed following registration.  This is an incredibly difficult and time-consuming task.  Requests to play with specific coaches and teammates will be accomodated where practical, however there is no guarantee that this will be possible.

We ask that you respect the committees decisions around team allocations, these have been made to ensure that teams are balanced, appropriately sized and in the interest of player safety.

If you have any concerns over team allocations these can be discussed with the Grade Co-Ordinator or Junior Club Captain.

Junior Muster

Team allocations will be be announced at Junior Muster at the club.  We will also be handing out club gear to players on this day.  The 2017 season will see the junior club split into two seperate musters:

  • J1 - J6 - 6.00pm Wednesday 22nd March

  • J7 - J8 - 6.00pm Wednesday 29th March

Muster will give you a chance to meet your teammates, coaches and group of parents.  From here your Managers and Coaches will keep you informed of training and game times and dates.
