First game for Pioneers Sat 31st

vs Glenfield Nth Habour Oval 1

Saturday March 31 sees the opening of the 2012 North Harbour Club rugby season, when our team, the Century 21 Western Pioneers, travel to the North Harbour Stadium to play Glenfield. Glenfield's home ground is temporarily out of action, and despite the Pioneers management generously offering to host the match at either Helensville or Kumeu, they opted to play the game at Albany.

Both the Senior Firsts and Premiers will be playing, the first game starting at 1pm and the Premiers at 2.45pm.

Several of the Pioneers players are up in Hong Kong this weekend, playing for various invitation teams in 7 aside and 10 aside competitions that run alongside the main international 7 aside competition. Hopefully they will come back without any injuries and keen to get into the club scene.

Tickets are now on sale for the season opening function at Kumeu clubrooms on Friday 13 April, commencing at 6 pm. As mentioned previously, this is our major fundraiser for the Western Pioneers and we encourage you to buy a ticket for you and your partner. Either reply to this email or call Shane Scott 027 2311021, Nick Leitch 027 4816041 or Richard Kidd 0274 599135 to get your tickets.

We are delighted to already have many of our sponsors confirmed for the season.Century 21 Burmester Realty have demanded they again sponsor the Pioneers, as their involvement from last season has seen Jane and her team of knowledgeable and reputable sales consultants rushed off their feet as the local property market really takes off.

Neville Brothers Transport, Sellars and Co legal practice and Fred Day's Helensville Mitre 10 are all back on board again for this season. Other sponsors will be announced as the season progresses, and we urge all members to support their businesses.

Look forward to seeing you at the Glenfield game.
